MEET THE BLACK SHEEP
The business support you didn't know you needed. The personality you definitely weren't expecting. I'm Katherine. Professional problem-solver, enthusiastic list-maker, occasional overthinker and the person behind Black Sheep Business Support.And, apparently, someone who thought starting a business was a perfectly reasonable way to spend her spare time.

So, how did we get here?

I've spent years working behind the scenes of busy businesses. The spreadsheets, the processes, the endless emails, the people who need chasing and the little jobs that somehow become everyone's problem. I know how much goes into keeping a business running. I also know how quickly the actual work can get buried underneath all the stuff that comes with it. And somewhere along the way, I realised I wanted to do something a little different. Not another stuffy business support company with a corporate-sounding name and a twelve-page brochure full of buzzwords. I wanted to build something that felt like me. Professional, capable, a little bit unconventional and absolutely not afraid to get stuck in. And so, Black Sheep was born.

SO, WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE SHEEP?
I'm a big believer that you don't have to do everything yourself just because it's your business. You don't need to spend your evenings sorting spreadsheets, your Sunday afternoons chasing invoices or your precious working hours trying to remember which of the seventeen things on your to-do list was actually important. You started your business for a reason. I'd quite like you to have some time to enjoy running it. That's where I come in. From the everyday admin that's slowly taking over your life to the bigger projects you've been putting off since approximately 1842, I'm here to help get things moving. Think inboxes, spreadsheets, research, organising, project coordination, HR admin, payroll support and all those other jobs that are somehow always waiting for you. Sometimes you need a few hours of help. Sometimes you need someone to take an entire project off your hands. And sometimes you just need another person to look at your to-do list and say, "Right. Where the hell do we start?" All perfectly acceptable reasons to call in the sheep.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Before Black Sheep, I worked in HR, payroll and business support, including supporting payroll reporting for a workforce of around 700 people. I'm CIPD qualified, have a rather healthy appreciation for a well-organised spreadsheet and genuinely enjoy making complicated, messy things feel a little more manageable. I'm also a firm believer that being professional doesn't mean being boring. I like getting things done, making people feel comfortable asking for help and finding a way forward when something feels like a complete headache. I'm not here to tell you how to run your business. I'm here to help you get on with it.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF SUPPORT
Black Sheep isn't about adding another complicated process to your already complicated day. It's about having someone in your corner who can pick up the things you've been carrying around in your head, get stuck into the practical stuff and help you make a bit of room to breathe. No unnecessary jargon. No judgement if your inbox currently has 4,000 unread emails. And absolutely no need to pretend you've got everything under control. Whether you're a one-person business with a to-do list longer than your arm or a growing company that needs an extra pair of capable hands, we can work out what would actually make your life easier. And if all you know right now is that something needs to change? Well, that's a perfectly good place to start. Less admin. Less faff. More time for the stuff you actually give a sh*t about.
